Municipal Court
Jurisdiction
Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction, which means it only hears cases involving :
- Violations for criminal misdemeanors
- Gross misdemeanors (domestic violence offenses, assault, shoplifting, DUI, etc.)
- Traffic infractions
- Parking violations that occur within the City of Puyallup
Other Courts
Puyallup Municipal Court does not file small claims or civil cases, protection or harassment orders. For those services, contact the Pierce County District Court.
For cases involving divorce or child custody matters, contact the Pierce County Superior Court.
